The home team is responsible to unlock the field gate if the game is at Volunteer Field, and to get the bases, umps equipment, rakes and other grooming equipment to the field. The home team is also responsible to return equipment and lock up after the game, unless another game follows yours. According to the letter of the law (this is in the Managers Info file on the CYB web site), The visiting team is responsible for raking the batters boxes, mound and around the bases. Both teams are responsible for dragging the base paths. Frankly, everybody should help prepare the field for play. The Home team always sits in first base dugout.
