What are the requirements to use the WOL(Wake-On-LAN) function?

0

• ATX motherboard (of course) with on-board WOL 3-pin connector. • ATX ONLY power supply which meets ATX 2.01 specifications. The critical part is the 5V standby current must be at least 800mA. The one we tested is SPI which provide 850mA standby current for 5V Standby. • A network card which can support WOL and properly installed the cable to motherboard. • In the BIOS Power Management, need to enable LAN Wakup option. • System must be in Soft-Off state, which means your system are either use power button (which BIOS set the Power button in ON-OFF) shut off or under Win9x choose shut down system. The over 4-seconds force the system off will not work.
