What are the requirements to the Contest Song?
A Contest Song is a song, which has never been commercially released before and which has been written entirely by the Contestant, or all of whose composer(s) and lyricist(s) (who collectively own 100% of the rights of the song) agree to sign the Contestant Agreement. It is irrelevant if the song has or has not been publicly performed, uploaded on the internet for free listening or broadcast before its submission to the Contest. The song must be free of any claims by third parties. Recordings of the Contest Song must be in MP3 format (minimum bit rate 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz) and be no longer than 3 minutes and 20 seconds in duration. The Contest Song and any information given about the Contestant on the Contest Portal must not: – contain any offensive or obscene words and expressions, – provoke religious hatred, ethnic or racial hostility, or – offend or disparage any person.
