What are the requirements to receive a new CDL in Illinois if I am moving from out of state?
If you have a current and valid CDL issued in another state, a driving road test may be waived; however, you will still be required to take a vision test and a written test to receive an Illinois CDL. When you apply for your CDL, you will have to provide identification that verifies your name, birth date, social security number, and proof of your Illinois residency.
