What are the requirements to qualify for food stamps?
Food Stamps and other forms of assistance vary from one state to the next, but most of the requirements are similar. There is a federal food stamp program called SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). According to the SNAP website, here is their instructions for applying for their program: “SNAP helps low-income people and families buy the food they need for good health. You apply for benefits by completing a State application form. Benefits are provided on an electronic card that is used like an ATM card and accepted at most grocery stores.
