What are the requirements to join the SWAT team?
It would depend on what kind of police department you are working for. If you are working on the NYPD your chances of getting onto a SWAT team are almost impossible because of the competition from twenty thousand officers. But if you are working for a small county department then your chances are better. However I am sure you are aware that you have to spend many years on the street before you would ever be considered for a SWAT position because you would need to learn all of the necessary skills. Honestly you need to set your goals lower right now. You need to get your necessary college credits and then worry about getting hired by a police department before you consider SWAT because once you see how a SWAT team really operates (not from TV) you might be turned off by it. Also Having a fiew years of Military services helps ALOT.
