Basic Requirements for Certified and Non-Certified Police Officer Applicants: A. Be at least 21 years of age prior to employment, B. Be a United States citizen, C. Possess a valid Texas driver’s license, D. Must have a high school diploma or GED, E. Possess 20/20 vision, either corrected or uncorrected in each eye.
