What are the requirements to become a Dublin Police Officer?
Basic Requirements for Certified and Non-Certified Police Officer Applicants: A. Be at least 21 years of age prior to employment, B. Be a United States citizen, C. Possess a valid Texas driver’s license, D. Must have a high school diploma or GED, E. Possess 20/20 vision, either corrected or uncorrected in each eye. Must be free of dichromatic color blindness, night blindness and any other visual deficiencies or limitations, F. Possess hearing with less than a 30 decibel loss, either corrected or uncorrected in each ear, and G. Have weight in proportion to height. Certified Police Officer Applicants Must Meet One of the Following Education/Service Requirements: A. 60 college hours grade C or above at an accredited college or university, or B. 30 college hours grade C or above at an accredited college or university and an honorable discharge from the armed services, or C. 30 college hours grade C or above at an accredited college or university and two years full-time law enforcement expe
