What are the requirements to be on the Core team?
A Core member must be an adult of sufficient maturity and physical & emotional health to serve the needs of todays teens, work as a team, and be present at most LIFE TEEN events and activities. A Core member must be a practicing Catholic so as to be able to lead, first of all, by example. The best kind of Core member is the humble person of prayer who is willing to respond to the call of God to step out in faith and serve todays teens. God does not call the equipped, He equips the called. Ordinarily, parents of participating teens help as volunteers rather than as Core members. If you think God may be calling you to serve as a Core member, contact Sr. Mary Eileen. All Core members must complete a background check and attend a one hour Safer Spaces session as required by the New York diocesan child protection plan.
