To be considered for employment as a police officer for the City of Covington, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications: 1. Minimum of 21 years of age. 2. High school graduate or GED equivalent. 3. United States citizen. 4. Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Virginia drivers license. 5. Must not have been convicted of, pled guilty to, or no contest to a felony or any offense that would be a felony if committed in the State of Virginia.
