What are the requirements to be a Notary Public in Mississippi?
There is no test. Qualifications are listed in section 102 of the Mississippi Notary Rules and Regulations (see FAQ #1 for link) You must apply with the Secretary of State ($25 fee), file a $5000 Surety Bond once approved, and obtain an official Seal or Stamp to affix to acknowledgements. As a Notary Public, you must comply with the Statutes of Mississippi for Notarial acts. You may download all the necessary forms here.
