What Are the Requirements to Be a Cardiac Sonographer?
Physicians work with cardiac sonographers, also known as echocardiographers, to diagnose patients with hear-related problems. Cardiac sonographers are trained to use ultrasound technology to obtain diagnostic images of a patient’s heart. These images are known as echocardiograms. Echocardiographers must be trained in ultrasound technology and cardiovascular anatomy. There are some states that require them to obtain a license.
