What are the requirements of my digital signage software or hardware?
The requirements are different for each content channel. For our video channels your software and hardware need to support MPEG4 (H.264) or MPEG2 video files. For other channels – if your software supports Flash 7 or above, you are good to go. The local Events channel does require Flash 9 support. If you have a media player that does not support Flash, we need to define a way to deliver the content in an automated fashion. We can deliver content to digital media players via standards-based Media RSS or SMIL. If your media player does not support Media RSS or SMIL – we’ll be happy to work with your software and hardware partners to determine a delivery system that works. To display most content on screen, a 1.6Mhz or above processor will do the trick – if you subscribe to HD video content you will need to make sure you have a PC or media player that can power it.
