What are the requirements in obtaining Taiwan tourist visa for just a couple of days?
Hi Rue… I answered a question very much like this about a month ago. To visit Taiwan, you need a Philippine passport and a Taiwan visa. The first you get at DFA. The second at TECO (Taiwan Economic & Cultural Office) in Makati in Pacific Star Bldg. They will give you the information you need to apply for a visa (they don’t particularly want you to go there and stay). Your other option is to go to a travel agency and for a few pesos they will give you the exact requirements (income, property owned, and several others) and help you fill out and submit the application. Processing can take two weeks or so, so the sooner you start the better. For hotel, I find Hotel Club useful at http://www.hotelclub.com/ My favorite place is the KDM hotel running just a bit over $60 (bit over 2800P) a night.
