What are the requirements for the first-preference (EB1) classifications?
• Qualifications for classification as an individual of extraordinary ability (EB1-1) To qualify as an individual of extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business or athletics, you must be able to document sustained national or international acclaim and that you are coming to the U.S. to continue work in the area of your extraordinary ability, by providing evidence of: • Receipt of a major internationally recognized award, such as the Nobel Prize; OR • At least three of the following requirements: • Documentation of receipt of lesser nationally or internationally recognized prizes or awards for excellence in the field of endeavor (selection criteria must be provided) • Documentation of membership in associations in the field for which classification is sought, which require outstanding achievements of their members, as judged by recognized national or international experts in their disciplines or fields (selection criteria must be provided) • Published material about
