What are the requirements for supervisors?
The qualification requirements for supervisors of LPC interns and of LMFT interns changed July 1, 2010. At a minimum, every supervisor must have a current, active Oregon license in a mental health field and must pass the Board’s law and rules exam. You can review all of the requirements in the Board’s administrative rules — OAR 833, Chapter 130. Every supervisor must meet the criteria set in administrative rules in order for an intern’s clinical experience hours to count toward licensure. Supervisor may not be a relative or someone with whom you have a personal relationship.
