What are the requirements for obtaining a real estate broker license?
Click here for broker licensing information. A new broker applicant must fill out the Application for License as a Real Estate Broker. The application fee is $500.00. If the application is filled out properly, all the requirements have been met and there are no extenuating circumstances, it takes up to a month to process and mail the license to the employing broker. During renewal (November – February), it may take longer. Each applicant must submit a fingerprint card to CBI. See related information here. Almost 25% of the applications that the Real Estate Commission receives contain errors or are incomplete resulting in a delay in license issuance.
