What are the requirements for labelling a ‘hazardous substance’?
A supplier of a AC classified hazardous substance (see above) for use in a workplace must ensure that: • the container in which it is supplied is labelled in accordance with the relevant requirements of the National Code of Practice for the Labelling of Workplace Substances [NOHSC: 2012(1994)], which can be found under OSH Standards and Codes of Practice on the Safe Work Australia website; and • the chemical name of any type II or type II ingredient is disclosed on the label or, where the identity of a type II ingredient is commercially confidential, the generic name of that ingredient.
