What are the requirements for freshman applicants?

A. The City University of New York recently made important changes in its admissions requirements. All freshman applicants who graduate from high school on or after June 2000 must submit an SAT or ACT score as part of their application package. This score, along with these three other components, will determine a student’s admission eligibility: the total number of CPI (College Preparatory Initiative) units. In evaluating high school transcripts, CUNY assigns CPI units to Regents-level courses indicated on the student’s high school transcript; the College Academic Average (i.e., the high school academic average earned only in CPI English, Foreign Language, Social Studies, Mathematics, Sciences and Fine Arts courses); the average earned in English CPI courses; and These factors will be used to determine if a student is admissable to Lehman.
