Employees using non-owned aircraft on University business must meet the University’s minimum aviation requirements prior to piloting aircraft. These requirements have been established by the University and its insurance underwriters. The standards are based on general aviation exposure and experience. • Use of non-owned aircraft must be approved by the Chancellor. Complete the Application to Use Aircraft on UC Business and submit it to UCSB Risk Management for processing. • Employee pilots must provide evidence of aviation liability insurance with a minimum combined single limit for bodily injury, property damage, and passenger liability of $1 million per occurrence.
