What are the requirements for first-time ePassport applicants?
First time applicants for an ePassport must report their birth at the Embassy of the Philippines or Philippine Consulate General that has consular jurisdiction over the place of birth of the applicant, prior to their application for an ePassport. For further information, see requirements for Registration of Birth. Personal appearance at the Embassy of the Philippines or Philippine Consulate General is required in all cases where their photos, fingerprints and signature will be taken. In view of this, applicants are no longer required to submit their photographs as pictures will be taken on-site–the cost of which is already included in the application fee of sixty US dollars (US$60) for the ePassports.
