A pool or yard fence permit is required for any body of water (swimming pools, spas, hot tubs, artificial ponds) located outdoors on privately owned property where the depth of the water at any point is capable of exceeding 24 inches (2 feet). The minimum height requirement for a pool fence is 1.2 m (4 feet). The maximum height for fences noted below will also apply to pool enclosures To obtain a pool fence permit please call (905) 874-2090, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
