You should check with the Costa Rican Embassy or Consulate in your country for requirements particular to your nationality, but in general, for most nationalities, all you will need is: 1. a passport that will not expire within six months of the entry date. 2. Going INTO PANAMA, many nationalities will need to buy a tourist card at the border ($5) including North Americans, Australians and Israelis. Most of Europe does NOT need to pay. If you need to buy a tourist card, don’t worry, you can get it easily at the border when crossing and it’s only $5. Our staff will point you in the right direction. 3. Travelers are required to show “proof” that they will leave the country they are entering both Panama and Costa Rica. Proof means a recipt or ticket for an international flight or bus departing from the country being entered.
