What are the requirements for booking an unaccompanied minor (UM)?
INFANTS/CHILDREN UNDER 6 YEARS TRAVELLING WITH DESIGNATED ADULT(S) OTHER THAN PARENT(S) • A typed and faxed letter of authorization from parents(s) • The letter must include the parent(s) residential and /or postal address and telephone number(s) • The letter must indicate the name and passport number of the designated person as well as those of the child/children • The letter must indicate parent’s/guardian’s undertaking to meet and receive child/children on arrival • A faxed copy of the bio-page of the parent’s and the designated person’s Passport/ID card/Driver’s license • PNR of designated person to be attached to child/infant and fed into History/Comments section in the SITA System by staff where appropriate The above information is also applicable to Unaccompanied Minors (UMs) who are above 12 years and are frequent travellers but are not required to pay the UM processing fee.
