What are the requirements for being an in-state resident?
• A: To be considered a resident, a student must live in Maryland for a minimum of 12 continuous months prior to the first day of classes, possess a valid Maryland drivers license for a minimum of 12 continuous months prior to the first day of classes, have all motor vehicles registered in Maryland for a minimum of 12 continuous months prior to the start of classes, be registered to vote in the state of Maryland for a minimum of 12 continuous months prior to the start of classes, reside in Maryland for purposes other than education, pay Maryland state taxes within the last 12 continuous months, and currently have Maryland state tax withheld from pay.
