What are the requirements for admission to the undergraduate programs leading to a BSW degree?
4-Year BSW Program Years 1 & 2: The minimum admission requirement is governed by the general requirements of the University. A minimum of 20 courses (as outlined in the current University of Windsor calendar) is required prior to admission to Year 3. Year 3 & 4: Applicants who have completed all pre-social work course requirements with a minimum average of 8.0 in Social Work courses will be considered for admission. An 8.0 cumulative average is also highly recommended. Volunteer or work experience in human service agencies or community organizations is also an asset. 2-year BSW Program University Graduate with a 3-year degree in Arts or Social Sciences or 30 courses in Arts or Social Sciences, with a minimum GPA of 8.0, or an average of at least 8.0 in their last 20 courses taken, including at least one course in statistics or research methods, may be considered for admission to a 2-year (4-semester) program.
