What are the requirements for acceptance into the CLT or CLS online programs?

To be accepted into either program you must be employed in a clinical laboratory. All of the clinical competencies that accompany CLT/CLS coursework are performed in your place of employment. You may also participate if you have a clinical laboratory that agrees to sponsor you. A letter of support from the laboratory supervisor must accompany your application. A sample letter can be found on our website at www.weber.edu/cls. Click on main menu and then BS or AAS online. After acceptance to the program, a legal affiliation agreement between your facility and Weber State University will be sent for your employer to sign. At this point we also require a video documenting the students workplace. Applicants for the BS program must be board certified with ASCP, NCA or AMT. A copy of this certification must accompany the application.
