What are the requirements for a TN visa for a professional nurse that is a Mexican citizen?
To qualify for the TN status, the professional nurse must be a Mexican citizen and have a nursing license. A Mexican citizen cannot obtain TN status at the port of entry. Instead, the person has to apply through the INS and once the INS approves the petition the foreign nurse must go to a U.S. Consulate or Embassy in Mexico to obtain the visa.
