The executive director may waive any license requirement for an applicant who holds a license from another state that has license requirements substantially equivalent to those of Texas. The department will determine if the other state’s license is substantially equivalent to those of Texas. A copy of the out-of-state license must be attached to the application. The polygraph licensing authority in the state specified on the application must send a letter to TDLR verifying that your license is in good standing for at least one year.
