What are the requirements for a regular minor in English?
A regular (or non-certification) minor in English requires 18 hours of English, including the 9 hours taken as part of the General Education requirements and the 6 to 9 hours of advanced English courses (3000-level or 4000-level). The 6-9 advanced hours may be taken from an array of courses that allow you to concentrate your minor in Literature, linguistics, English as a Second Language, or writing. You can, of course, mix them up in any way you like to meet your specific career needs.
