What are the requirements for a paraprofessional?
Paraprofessionals MUST comply with the minimum requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act. Paraprofessionals must show successful completion of 60 college credits or pass the Para-Pro exam offered by Miami Dade County Public Schools OR complete the 42-hour Educational Research & Dissemination course offered by the United Teachers of Dade. Temporary Instructors may work as a paraprofessional. To do so, a non-instructional application must be completed.
