What are the requirements for a commuter student?

0

Full-time single students who have completed fewer than 30 semester hours are required to live on campus in the residence halls for one academic year (for two terms – Fall and Spring semesters only). Although it is required that all freshman live on campus, exceptions may be made for those students who live at home with their parents / guardians within a 60 mile radius of campus and commute. A commuter request must be filed with the Office of Student Housing and Residence Life in Miller Hall, no later than August 1st for the full academic year. For those enrolling in the Spring semester, no later than December 1st. Please note: Students released to commute are required to reside at home with their parent or legal guardian. Students released to commute and found not residing with a parent or legal guardian will be in violation of University policy and will be billed for housing and referred into the judicial system.
