What are the required skills for having a successful e-government?
2006, Dr. Rabee M. Reffat, Arab Urban Development Institute This paper gauges the ability of civil society, business and government to further the cause of e-government, examining the complexities within the government realm and its constituencies and attempting to come up with an integrated approach to develop a successful e-governance model. The author concludes that e-government is about transforming the way government interacts with the governed. Of course for all of this, there needs to be a strong political will, deployment of resources and an enabling regulatory framework. Finally the author takes heart from the fact that governments are getting actively involved in e-governance issues in a big way and urges greater flexibility and political will on the part of the government to successfully develop a sustainable e-government model.
