What are the required courses for California Psychologists?

0

As of January 2007, certain California Psychologists may be required to take these mandatory courses: – Psychologists renewing their license on or after January 1, 2004 are required to have a CE course in spousal or partner abuse assessment, detection and intervention strategies. The AATBS 7 hour course Spousal/Partner Abuse or the 8 hour Spousal & Partner Abuse Self Paced Online Workshop should meet this requirement. – Psychologists renewing their license on or after January 1, 2005 are required to have proof of completion of a three hour CE course in aging and long-term care or show proof to the board of its equivalent in teaching or practicing experience. The AATBS 3 hour course Aging and Long Term Care should meet this requirement. * These are one time requirements. Four hours of Law and Ethics is also required each licensure cycle.
