Florida licensed massage therapists are required to renew their license every two years. All credits must be issued by a provider approved by Floridas Board of Massage Therapy. (yourCEplace, LLC is an approved Florida provider 50-8890). Renewal requirements for the period ending August 31st, 2011 are as follows: 12 hours relevant to massage therapy techniques, which may include history, human anatomy and/or physiology, kinesiology and/or pathology. These hours must be taken live – in a classroom with an instructor present (not correspondence). Up to six hours of this requirement may be satisfied by pro bono services offered to the indigent, underserved populations or in areas of critical need within the state where you practice.
