The SMP Gateway stores a large number of system statistics that are remotely viewable using the SMP Stats tool. These statistics, along with the SMP Trace real-time traces, allow for quick diagnostics of any field problem. For more elaborate diagnostics, the optional SMP Gateway diagnostic kits provide all cables and accessories necessary to reproduce production line diagnostics and verify that all components of the SMP Gateway hardware is functioning correctly. Note that SMP Gateway diagnostics require manual intervention and cannot be performed remotely.
