What are the remedies for morning sickness during pregnancy?
Take time to get out of bed. Sit up slowly with a support to your back. If you quickly get out of bed or get up with sudden movements, the queasiness increases considerably. Avoid cooking soon after you get up as the smells from the kitchen may kick up your nausea further. You could ask your mother or mother-in-law to come and help in the kitchen for sometime till you feel more settled. Since iron can be hard on your digestive system, don’t take iron supplements unless a blood test shows that you are anemic. Even then, it’s worth trying different brands as some may suit you better than others. Keep snacks on hand. Try eating small amounts of bland food throughout the day. Good choices include dry biscuits, yoghurt, or anything else you can bear to eat. Keep your mind occupied. The more you focus on your morning sickness, the more you’re likely to be ill for greater periods of time.
