What are the regulations regarding the issuance of multiple CII prescriptions for the same controlled substance?
The Pennsylvania Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act does not address the subject matter of multiple CII prescriptions and therefore it is silent on this issue. The Act, like Federal law, does prohibit refills of CII drugs. The Federal law is found in the Code of Federal Regulations.
