What are the regulated objects for firearms, and will objects that are normally considered prohibited be allowed into Canada for the Games?

0

Regulated objects include all firearms, magazines, and ammunition required for participation in the 2009 WPFG. While prohibited items such as high capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) and certain police or military-style weapons are not normally allowed into Canada, an Order in Council will be obtained for these items for participation in the 2009 WPFG only. Firearms commonly used by police agencies, such as the HK MP 5 family may be allowed into Canada for the 2009 WPFG. There is no way to import prohibited items into Canada for any purpose other than competition in the 2009 WPFG. As such, you will have to use the 2009 WPFG Registration System to import items normally considered prohibited. You will not be able to use any of the prohibited items prior to July 31, 2009 or after August 9, 2009. See the Firearms List for details on regulated objects.
