What are the refresher seminars?

Some applicants are admitted to the program because they are deemed to have the potential to succeed in the program but lack some prerequisites. To bring them up to speed in these areas, they will be required to take some refresher seminars before the start of the program. Refresher seminars in C++, Advanced Calculus, Probability, and Linear Algebra are offered to students already admitted to the Baruch MFE Program the summer prior to the first semester of study. The refresher seminars focus on mathematical and programming topics required for the courses in the program, and their financial applications. The refresher seminars are taught by faculty who teach the graduate courses in our program.
