What are the recycled materials we put into the bin made into?
There is a large range of products manufactured from recycled paper, cardboard and liquid paperboard. These include toilet paper, paper towels, writing and office paper. Some cardboard packaging is also made from recycled cardboard and most newspapers are printed on paper that includes some recycled content. Many aluminium and steel cans and glass containers contain recycled material. However, they can also be recycled into different products such as car parts (aluminium) and sand blasting abrasives (glass). Plastics can be made into many different types of products including textiles, furniture, mobile garbage bins and new plastics packaging.
