Dstl would be a good option to link your biosciences with involvement in UK defence. Whilst Dstl are mostly civil servants, their customers are the military, and so ‘support to ops’ is a big part of their role. There are other science jobs in MoD, but Dstl would remain a good entry point. The military recruit a variety of degree types into their jobs. In all 3 services, initial training is general, and I believe it is considered more important to absorb the ethos and disciplines of the service in question, than to have any particular degree- potentially there are lots of options. If you’re looking at a military career I would focus on the service you’re interested in, and the branch (e.g. in the RAF, whether aircrew, engineer, logistics etc). I would expect that Biochem in the Army is a fairly niche discipline to enter, which might be appropriate for only a portion of your career, but Army recruitment would be the obvious people to ask.
