The United States has recently issued a statement which urges India to understand the position of the United States in the Nuclear cooperation deal, furthermore apprising its counterparts that there are some legal constraints that are precluding any action on behalf of the US to implement the deal that the two countries had concluded last year. In its final implementation, the deal would enable the US to supply civilian nuclear reactors to India. In addition to explaining the American stance, the statement also expressed the United State’s ‘state of annoyance’ on certain demands that India had made, which according to the report could also be harmful for the deal.
