What are the reasons of the civil war?
Contrary to popular belief, Slavery was not the main cause. The Morrill Tariff wads the main cause, which raised the tariffs to about 50% and this really hurt the South’s economy. Slavery was not the main issue at all, and was just used as an excuse by the North to keep Great Britain out of the war and justify it for the few but powerful abolitionists.
