What are the reasons a 1099 form may not be sent?
A. Only withdrawals and dividend or capital gain distributions are reported on a 1099. If you did not take one of the following, there are no distributions that need to be reported to the IRS. • A withdrawal, • Exchanged shares, • Had dividends or capital gains distributed or reinvested for the tax year, • If you arranged to move your IRA as a trustee to trustee transfer of assets directly to another IRA without taking possession of the funds.
