A good lawyer has experience and understands the law for the subject matter at issue. You would go to an an attorney who is experienced in employment law for a workplace dispute or an attorney experienced in estate law to probate a will. They do not make promises to clients they know they can’t keep. Good lawyers understand they are “officers of the court” and follow the local court rules and bar guidelines. As such they NEVER mislead the court or lie to the court. They always return phone calls. Good lawyers are strategic thinkers and can assimilate a great deal of information and use that information to move their clients case forwar
