The required qualifications are found in Article 1 of the Constitution: House of Representatives twenty five years of age a citizen of the United States for at least 7 years at the time of election, be a resident of the state U.S. Senate 30 years of age a citizen of the United States for 9 years at the time of election, be a resident of the state It would also help having the intelligence to find the answers that are in our own US Constitution!!
