What are the qualifications and responsibilities for a supervising physician?
A supervising physician must be a physician (Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy) who possesses a current, active license to practice medicine in Montana; exercises supervision over the physician assistant in accordance with statute and rules adopted by the Board; retains professional and legal responsibility for the care and treatment of patients by the physician assistant; and who agrees to a supervision agreement and a duties and delegation agreement.
