What are the psychologicla consequence of Father Absence on boys and girls lives?
Well it didn’t affect my boys and I was both Mother *and* “Father” to them as I brought four of them up on my own – and that was far better than them having a drunken,violent thug as a “role model” which their “father” was (and would have continued to be if I hadn’t got them away from him). I also had them in the cubs and scouts and my Father and brothers were wonderful too so don’t think that they didn’t have *good* male role models (some of their teachers too). Edit : And as for saying that boys without a Father run wild – well my boys had plenty of discipline from me and learnt to be respectful (especially of women) as well as having lots of love and attention – in fact I would say that they were better off *without* a Father – well their so-called “father” anyhow.You need to take it on a case by case basis.
