What are the psycho-physiological factors involved in motivation?

0

There are a million theories behind motivation. One would be the drive-reduction theory, which basically states that our body wants to maintain homeostasis (Ex: When we’re hungry, we eat to get our bodies back to the “regular” balanced level.) Another is just an arousal theory, which says that we’ll look for stimulation, which would be the motivation behind exploring or skydiving or anything of the sort, even if our bodies are perfectly balanced and healthy. Another is achievement motivation, which ties in somewhat with the arousal theory. Some people just feel a strong need to achieve and are simply motivated by that fact/incentive alone.
