15.10 Leave for Graduate Study – An employee who has served at least three (3) years may, upon written approval of the President, be granted a leave of absence for the purpose of pursuing graduate study for a period of either a year or a half-year. 15.10.1 An employee applying for such leave may apply for leave without pay or leave at one-quarter pay for either period of time. In either case, there is the understanding that the employee will return to his duties upon termination of the leave for a period equivalent to one (1) year for each half year of leave, unless by mutual agreement between the employee and the President, it is deemed inadvisable. 15.10.2 The employee applying for such leave shall present to the President the plan of study he expects to pursue while on leave which must be approved by the President before the request for leave is granted.
